At this stage in Lent we are often flagging or flailing: this is the time to get back up again. Keep your eyes on the prize - nothing is more important than knowing Christ Jesus.

On Ash Wednesday, we were reminded of the fact that we were “Ambassadors for Christ.” A good Lenten question might be to ask how well we are representing our King?

Lent is truly a time to become a better disciple: for that we need discipline. What measures can we take, using the traditional means of prayer, fasting & almsgiving?

Lent is a perfect time to allow the Lord to give us a little correction for our inability to perceive His activity in our lives. Let us see and hear what He wants of us.

This week’s Nugget is rather unusual: I am actually encouraging you to read something else - an article on the website of The European Conservative, by the Irish philosopher, Mark Dooley, entitled ‘The Religion of Antichrist.’ Powerful, enlightening and, paradoxically, encouraging.
