Scripture tells us the “fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” Today, as Pope Benedict identified, people are more concerned about the fear of men - what people think of us and about us. Gospel living expects boldness in proclaiming the Word, like the Apostles in Acts. They were “recognised” as having been with Jesus for their lack of human respect. Can we be bold, even cheeky, in fearlessly proclaiming the Word?
