Archbishop Benedict, the Syriac Catholic Archbishop of Mosul & Qaraqosh receiving the icon of Mary, Mother of the Persecuted on the 11th anniversary of ISIS taking control of Nineveh – today the Archbishop received the icon to establish the 7th shrine in tte world – the first in a city liberated from ISIS – the icon will go in the brand new Church of St. Ephrem in Qaraqosh – due to be opened in 2 months
