Give to Project JonahA while back we told you about helping Bishop Armash Nalbandian, the Armenian Apostolic Bishop of Damascus. Apart from showing our ecumenical character, we are very glad to say that the course he organised has been very successful! 30 women will complete a three month course in hairdressing and manicure in February, receiving a diploma. Several women are discussing opening a salon together – continuing Nasarean’s “Project Jonah” not only to start new businesses, but to empower women. Bishop Armash tells us he has more than 40 women waiting to start the next course. Due to your support you are giving these families in Damascus hope and dignity, and the possibility of running their own businesses and staying in the country. You can see Bishop Armash with some of the women in the photo. 1/25/21 Our friend Bishop Armash, the Armenian Apostolic Bishop of Damascus, introducing the teacher for a project we are sponsoring to teach women the hairdressing business – another Project Jonah success to help Syrian Christians start their own businesses. 11/15/20
